the jungle book none is more startling than a title card at the close of the end credits reading filmed in downtown los angeles. so immersively does the film's visual effects team craft every tree, waterfall and flower of rudyard kipling's fantastical subcontiental setting, and so carefully are the taking cgi animals rendered, it almost beggars belief that the whole thing was shot in a 12 story building overlooking the 110 freeway. neel sethi is a mind blowing performance in the film

teraa surror sure is lethal, but for all the wrong reasons, what with himesh striving very, very hard to pass himself off as a poor man's superman. teraa suroor dives deep into a sea of mothbelled ideas. no wonders the exercise yields no pearls. tera surroor is a follow-up to the 2007 himes reshammiya starrer aap ka suroor. himesh holds on to a single expression all through the film, whether he is dodging a bullet, shooting down gangsters or merely in the miolst of a lovers tiff, he betrays no semblance of emotion. timepass movie.

at the beginning of 10 cloverfield lane, michelle (mary elizabeth wnsteadf is driving into the night when she crashes into a ditch. shi wakes up in a cinder-block bunker, handcuffed to a pipe, and the glint of terror in her eyes tells you that she's probably seen saw and at least a couple of its sequels, what horror, we wonder, lies in store for her? is she about to be tortured defied her captor soon enters the room and the moment we register that he's played by the generraly jolly john goodman now wearing a beard and a permanently angry scowl, we thik uh-no, this is what it looks like when casting against type gets redly ugly. it's had not to flash back to memories of a for more recent movie-room, with its valiant ingenue-victim and sexual predator.
