rishi kapoor in a nice reentry. alia looks cute as ever and fawad performance is winning scores. siddhart needs to improve his acting. one can't find alia in the second half of the movie. a decent family entertainer, emotional in some parts. you can watch this movie with your family and kids. chinto has made his head count. songs are okay. rishi kapoor commands with his comedy and action. it is a 6 out of 10 movie. i heard regarding this movie lapoor & sons movie, estranged two brothers rahul and arjun kapoor (fawad afzal khan and sidharth malhotra) are forced to come together and eturn to their childhood home in coonor when their 90-year-old dadu (rishi kapoor) suffers from a heart attack. their parents, harsh and sunita kapoor (rajat kapoor and ratna pathak) also reside here. rahul is a writer, who personifies the image of successful young man who appears to be the most mature person in the family. on the other hand, arjun struggles to make it big as a writer and resorts to running a website and works part time as a bartender to make ends meet. rahul is loved more by his parents for being more mature and successful. this doesn't go well with arjun. while the brothers struggle to get along, the parents, harsh and sunita kapoor too are troubled with their own marriage. siddhartha brings to the table a loose-limbed pleasing vulnerability which he reveals slowly. fawad plays his straight, and he does n't lift off the screen.......the way he didi in ' khubsoorat'. rishi gets some laughs in, but has to struggle the heavy prosthetics. the two people who kept me watching all the way were rajat kapoor and ratna patgak shah : they play long-time partners in a marriage gone sour, and create a relationship which has enough strength and weaknesses that you want to know more about.
