the title dum laga ke haisha has a nice ring to it. these words, commonly chanted when doing any kind of physically strenuous work, evoke an affectionate nostalgia for a time gone by a time before mobile phones took over our lives, before google made libraries redundant, and before shiny cds replaced those double-sided audio cassettes that we inevitably wore out from repeatedly listening to the same track over and over again.

my heart goes out to nana patekar, who resurrects his role as an encounter cop and in doing so, lends utmost authenticity to his character. as a man torn between his duty as a cop and responsibility as a father, he singlehandedly strives to salvage what appears to be a poor remake of the gripping original (shimit amin's ab tak chhappan, 2004) with his tremendous screen presence.

i do not like this movie. after reading the summary of the movie, i found it very boring and unexcited.... this romantic love story is very very typical one, i am still confused about it, that the young girl na-ri was found to be living with another man in latter part. what does this mean?????
