i like the movie very much.. irfan was awesome.. as always.. story was good , dialogues was also quite ok, first half of movie was kind-of fast but second half seems to appeal audience...it was great to watch shabana azami in a different character... and at the last but not least aishwariya looks beautiful in the movie.... great movie...must watch movie..... this movie is touted as aishwarya rai bachchan's comeback vehicle and she's got a meaty role to justify it. in an age-appropriate role, aishwarya plays a successful lawyer, anuradha varma, who's also a single mother to her daughter sanaaya (sara arjun).
aishwarya rai bachchan perfectly looks the part and even does a fairly decent job, barring certain emotional scenes where she clearly goes over the top. sanyal's character is caricaturish. otherwise a good actor, he seemed to be struggling to find a solid footing. shabana azmi, who plays the mother of a rape victim, is effortless and adds value to the film.

sanjay gupta has mange to solid sporting cast for jazbaa, high on drama, lot of unncessary shots of cars screeching, really over the top dialogues. first half of jazbaa just like trailer. some poignant scenes do questions sociaty's attitude towards rape victims. but i like aishwarya rai act in this film.
